Do you want to get back into work but don’t know where to start? Join our Pathways Employment Programme.
Each weekly session (run over 6 weeks) provides you with insight, expert advice and guidance to enable you to take control of your employment status. The sessions are run by a collective of experts from various sight loss charities across the UK. The sessions are run virtually, in small groups, and you can choose to participate, take notes or just listen and learn.
- 10th May 1pm – introduction to the programme and TAVIP introduction (TAVIP are a charity who support VIPs with tech that can enhance and assist in their daily lives)
- 17th May 1pm – Access to Work explained and discussion and advice about when to disclose your VI.
- 24th May 1pm– Creating a CV and writing cover letters
- 31th May 1pm – Interview skills and application forms, what might you come up against.
- 7th of June 1pm – TAVIP – a more comprehensive session focussing on tech that can support you in the working environment.
- 14th June 1pm – Linked In and why it’s important, how to create an effective profile.
