We are a dynamic local charity supporting over 1500 blind and visually impaired children and adults across Berkshire. We have an ethos of challenging expectations of what blind and visually impaired people can achieve, both society’s and their own! We aim to walk alongside them whenever they need us. We support them to find jobs, use assistive tech, take part in sports, take part in activities they are often excluded from (e.g. adapted escape rooms, pottery and gardening), support them to build the confidence and skills to access their local community independently after their sight loss e.g. return to their local high street or travel to work or university, ensure they can be independent in their own home and access the support they need, and ensure they do not become isolated and alone. We are a small, social and supportive staff team who would be thrilled to have you join us!
