Tender Response, founded by local businesswoman Vicky Poole, is proud to announce its support for Berkshire Vision with a donation of £1394. This donation reflects Tender Response’s commitment to supporting an annual charity partner, with Berkshire Vision selected as the company’s chosen charity for 2023.
Vicky’s involvement with Berkshire Vision began during the COVID-19 pandemic when she volunteered as a telephone befriender after seeing a call for help in a local village magazine. Through her weekly conversations, Vicky provided compassionate support to individuals with sight loss, support that became more personal when her own son was diagnosed with albinism, a condition that affects his vision.
After years in corporate and freelance work, Vicky launched Tender Response in 2023, an experienced consultancy specialising in bid and tender writing to help clients secure public sector contracts. A core value of the company is to give back to the community, with a commitment to donate a percentage of its profits each year to a chosen charity.
“I wanted to use my business as a platform to support the community, especially charities like Berkshire Vision that provide life-changing support to those with sight loss,” said Vicky. “This partnership is my way of giving back to a cause close to my heart and helping the community in our area.”
To establish her annual charity initiative, Vicky invited local charities to apply for support, receiving interest from 167 local and 5 national organisations! After careful consideration, she selected Berkshire Vision for 2023 due to her strong connection with the organisation and her dedication to supporting the visually impaired.
Through her work, Vicky integrates corporate social responsibility (CSR) into the grants and bids she manages, requiring charity partnerships that deliver lasting community value. By supporting Berkshire Vision, Tender Response contributes not only to social value in the community but also to a more inclusive future for those living with sight loss.
